Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall packs particular tipple when travelling in case of 'danger'

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, jets off around the world frequently representing the Royal Family.

Having flown on countless official journeys, the Duchess has enough experience to ensure she is well prepared for almost any situation.

According to royal insiders, she and Prince Charles even ward off danger by packing alcoholic beverages in their suitcase.

Though it may seem like a rather extravagant request, there is actually a very important reason why the royal couple does so.

Royal reporter Gordon Rayner, who has attended 20 royal tours, explained the reason why the duo pack their own beverages is a matter of security.

"Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall sometimes take their own alcohol so there’s no danger of their drinks being spiked,” Mr Rayner said.

The Duchess of Cornwall is a fan of one drink in particular, and it is likely this is one of her favourites to sip on while abroad.

According to Mr Rayner, the Duchess is a red wine drinker. Contrastingly, Prince Charles prefers something a little stronger.

While speaking to CN Traveller, Mr Rayner revealed the future Monarch enjoys a gin and tonic...
