The Tesla Model 2 is set to go on sale in 2023, marking the company's historic transition away from the luxury EV market and into more accessible terrain, building on the massive success of its Model 3 compact, which routinely ranks among the best-selling electric cars. Knowing that it has been also estimated as a starting price of Tesla model 2. This would make it the brand’s cheapest model by a large margin, with even the most affordable variant of the Model 3 priced at $37,990.
Such a price increase will be made feasible by Tesla's new battery technology, which is said to decrease production costs by 50% over existing techniques while offering five times more energy and up to 16% greater range per charge.
