Merry Shabby Christmas! Get your glue and glitter, because we are going to have some Festive Christmas Fun! We will be crafting 3 different ornaments, and making a very simple, but oh so shabby stocking! I will post any links I can below, at the end of the project descriptions.
~ First up are our adorable Tart Tin Ornaments. I am using the mini sized tins that I purchased from Amazon, and I worked the metal to open them up a bit. I used the Vintage Angels and Pink Shabby Christmas images that I purchased from Etsy and printed them on cardstock. I resized my images using Canva Pro, but there are many free apps available to resize yours. I used a 2 inch circle punch to cut them out and hot glued them to the center. Have fun using your lace, ribbon, beads, glitter, tulle, pom poms, and let your imagination and creativity run free as you embellish your ornaments!
~ Next are our Paper Medallion Ornaments. They are super easy to create, but make such a grand statement on your Christmas Tree! Use your favorite scrap booking papers, or old book pages to assemble these in a jiffy. Add some glitter to your vintage images from Graphics Fairy, and you're all set!
~ Our paper dolls are probably my favorite. I intend to make lots of these to fill up my Retro Silver Aluminum Christmas Tree! Again, Graphics Fairy is the place to find thousands of free images to use in so many crafting projects. Tulle, lace, fabric and glitter make these the perfect sparkly addition to your Holiday Decor!
~ And now our dreamy Angel Stocking! I used the Avery Iron-on Sheets for Light Fabrics, a beautiful angel image from Graphics Fairy, and my ink jet printer to add shabby charm to my stocking. Using Natural Cotton Canvas fabric from Hobby Lobby, I snipped and ripped a square of fabric large enough for my stocking template that I printed from Positively Splendid. The washing machine creates a gorgeous shabby fringe that becomes the top of our stocking. Trace, pin, stitch, clip, turn, and press. It's just that easy! Apply lace to the top of your stocking using Quick Grip glue, trim your Avery printed image, and iron in place following instructions. Now decorate until your shabby loving heart is satisfied!
Be Blessed my friends, and Happy Crafting!
