5 WAYS YOU COULD BE BLOCKING YOUR BREAKTHROUGH
Are you desperately wondering about what could be wrong with your life? Especially now that you have given your life to Christ, you’d expect your life to be better. You want the victorious life that Jesus has given. While many things can be the cause of delayed breakthroughs, you need to first check if you’re among the causes. In today’s video, we will talk about 5 ways you could be blocking your breakthrough. Please like, share and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
• Breakthroughs are very important victories for everyone. Most people are seeking for breakthroughs in different aspects of life. It may be in finances, it may be in sickness or marriage or children, friends. Whatever it is, let’s trust God’s word found in 2 Corinthians 9 vs 8 which says “And God is able to make all grace [every favour and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.” This is what is written in the word of God.
1. Believing the lies of the enemy: This is one of the biggest problems of believers today. And this is a major blocker of the breakthroughs we so desire. How can God bless you when you don’t believe He will? We firstly have to believe everything that Jesus tells us. Not what we think, not what we imagine it should be, not what our parents or friends tell us. Not even what our pastor says. Except these people are saying the same thing that the word of God is saying, we shouldn’t trust them. In this kingdom of God, we trust only what God says. Since the devil is the father of lies, he has many to tell. One of the most successful lying strategy he has used is to tell believers that they’re okay just accepting Jesus. Because of this, most believers assume that immediately they give their life to Jesus, things will go perfectly fine. This is a lie from the devil because the bible never told us that. Jesus said in John 16 vs 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This verse means as long we are in this world, there will be trouble. There will be times of sickness and pain, there will be times of poverty and famine, there will be times of lack and want but what He promised is His peace. That we will walk through these times together because He has overcome this world. Isaiah 43 vs 2 says “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Notice the word when, not if, not maybe but when, meaning someday it will happen. This is really important for Christians to know because it means they have to prepare for these seasons. Prepare through prayer, praise, word study, drawing strength from God. If you don’t believe these times will come, then you probably don’t even know that you need a breakthrough. You’ll keep living a passive life accepting whatever comes your way. This is not the plan of God for you. Psalm 30 vs 5 says “… weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.” This means a breakthrough will come after you’ve endured the hard times. Because many Christians do not know this, they begin to lose faith in God. They begin to see God as a scam. They won’t pray and they hold God responsible for what they should hold themselves for. This then goes to hinder their breakthroughs. Your breakthroughs can also be hindered by believing the lie, “you don’t deserve what you’re asking for.” Jesus did not come to die for us to live a life of lack in any area. If Jesus can go through all that pain so we also can benefit, then we deserve everything good we desire. Matthew 7 vs 11 says “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Never accept what the enemy is saying to you.
2. Lack of Faith which includes action. A lot of Christians are in two categories. The first category are the ones without faith. The truth is, you need to have faith and take the corresponding action else you won’t get any breakthrough. James 1 vs 6 – 7 says “But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” So when you don’t have faith in God, do not expect Him to listen to your pleas for a breakthrough.
