United Nations Convention on Climate Change is scheduled to hold between November 1-12, in Glasgow, Scotland. This is as countries continue to race towards the Net-Zero decarbonization targets by 2050. One of the global powerhouses in nuclear power, Germany has announced it will shut down all its nuclear power plant by 2022.
This is coming on the heels of the campaign against nuclear power to protect the environment and climate change. However, some African countries including Nigeria is waking up its interest in nuclear power plants. It has become necessary to interrogate Nigeria's energy transition and green economy aspirations with a view to placing the sustainable development challenges on the front burner.
