Mpesa foundation in conjunction with Gertrude's Children's Hospital has partnered to use "Daktari smart", a telemedicine technology, to ensure access to healthcare services by every child especially those who need specialized treatment. The pilot of Daktari smart will be in four counties, namely Lamu, Homabay, Samburu, and Baringo, to reduce referrals of children from one hospital to another. This technology also ensures equitable access to medical care across the country.
